When a Product Causes Harm

Product injuries can happen with everyday items we use and trust, from children’s products and household goods to furniture, electronics, recreational products, and more.

The impact can extend far beyond the injury itself. 


Families may face unexpected expenses, time away from work, emotional strain, unanswered questions, and uncertainty about what to do next.


Product Injury Coalition is here to help families navigate what comes next through practical resources, education, research, and support.

What We Do

Our work focuses on three areas:


Family Assistance
Providing modest financial assistance to eligible families with children facing immediate needs following a product related injury or death.


Research

Supporting research that helps deepen understanding of product injuries, their impact on families and animals, 

and opportunities to prevent future harm.


Educational Materials
Creating accessible information and practical resources to help individuals and families understand product safety, reporting, recalls, and what to do following an injury. 

Your Experience Can Help Protect Others


If you or someone you love has been injured by a consumer product, reporting what happened can help identify potential safety hazards and protect others.


You can report an unsafe consumer product directly to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission through SaferProducts.gov. Your experience matters and can help make products safer.
